The combination of piano, violin and cello offers composers a wide range of technical options while also creating challenges for making sure parts aren’t “stepping on the toes” of others. Strings and Sketches featured premieres by composers Emma Breedveld and Lynn Hutchinson, and a commissioned sketch by Arjen Dijksma - inspired by his attendance at rehearsals.
